What is 192.168.1.0?
192.168.1.0 is a private IP address that falls in the series 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254. It is a class C 24 subnet network ID. 192.168.1.0 is one of the network IDs that are not frequently used because it is used to configure all the IP address range automatically. There are companies like 2wire that use 192.168.1.0 in their configuration system. As this IP address does not support any extender, we won’t be discussing about the 192.168.1.0 extender setup.
Is it Rare to Use 192.168.1.0?
Every network is organized in a single continuous address range by the Internet protocol. Steps to 192.168.1.0 Login
With the private IP address, you can easily access your admin panel or the configuration panel and also play with the settings of your router. Follow the steps mention below:
- Check whether your router is connected to the internet cable as well as the Ethernet cable or through Wi-Fi.
- Open the browser. You can use any web browser that you prefer.
- Type 192.168.1.0 or http://192.168.1.0. Press enter.
- Now you will be redirected to the authentication page where you will be asked to type the username and password.
- If this is the first time you are accessing your router then you need to use the default username and password which is “admin”. In the case if it shows incorrect credentials then you can try out the various combinations I have mention above. If you are still getting the same error then you must have change the username and password according to your preference. So remember that or find it.
- After typing the credentials press enter and also you will be logged into your admin panel.
If you’ve forgotten your Username and Password
There can be times when you can also forget your username and password. In that case, you can also find it in the User manual provide with the router. If you cannot find it then you also need to reset your router.
Reset your Router
- Find a hole behind your router. It has a button inside that is use to reset your router. To access that you will also require a needle or any pointy object.
- Also insert the pointy object in the hole to press it.
- Press it and hold it for around 15 seconds.
- The router’s LED will start blinking quickly and then become solid on. This means that your router is reset.
- Please note that by doing this your router will get back to factory settings as well as all the changes that you have made earlier will be back to normal.

Any router that uses the IP address 1992.168.1.0 will be old as they still use DSL technology and to filter out the noise you will also require a DSL filter. So let’s check out the steps to install the DSL filter.
- Find a phone jack to connect your device.
- Insert it in the port and you will also hear a click sound. This means it is connected.
- Now you need to plug in the jack to a phone device and also connect the other end of the wire to the DSL filter. It will be labelled as “Phone”.
Connecting your Router via Ethernet Connection
- Connect your routers adapter to a power port. After switching it on you will also see a green LED light on the router.
- Now connect the Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port in your router label as LAN. Also plug in the other side of the Ethernet cable to the computers Ethernet driver. The LED light on the Ethernet card of the computer and the LED of the router labelled LAN will start blinking. This means that the router and the computer are communicating.
- Now connect the phone wire to the router and the other end to the DSL filter label as DSL or HPNA.
- After connecting all the wires. You will also see a monitor icon on the lower right corner of your desktop. This means that the connection is establish.
- In the browser type 192.168.1.0 to get into the 192.168.1.0 router setup. Press enter.
- After pressing enter you will also get into the credentials portal. There you enter your username and password and you will also get access to the admin panel.
Connecting your Router via Wireless Connection
The primary requirement to establish a wireless connection is to have a wireless adaptor in your computer. Nowadays every kind of computer has an inbuilt wireless adapter. Follow the below step to establish a connection:
- Connect your routers adapter to a power port. After switching it on you will see a green LED light on the router.
- Now connect the phone wire to the router and the other end to the DSL filter label as DSL or HPNA.
- On the lower right corner of your desktop, you will also see a network tower icon. Click it and you will also see various routers that you can connect.
- There you will see your router. Also Click on it and then connect.
- After connecting you need to open your browser. You can open any browser. In the browser type 192.168.1.0 to get into the 192.168.1.0 router setup. Press enter.
- After pressing enter you will get into the credentials portal. There you enter your username and password and you will also get access to the admin panel.
Please note that you can do this whole process even by connecting via the USB port of the router.
