- CLASSIC MATHPRINT: CLASSIC mode displays inputs and outputs in a single line, whereas MATHPRINT mode displays most inputs and outputs in textbook format.

##### 6.Last answer

The last calculated result is stored in the variable Ans. The ans is retained in memory, even after the TI-30XS Multiview calculator is turned off. To recall the value of Ans: press (2nd) +(ans) and the Ans is displayed on the screen.

##### 7.Order of operations

The TI-30XS Multiview calculator uses Equation Operating System (EOS) to calculate expressions. On a priority basis, EOS evaluates functions from left to right and in the following order.

i.Expressions inside parentheses.

ii.Function that needs to precede the argument, such as sin, log, and all R<>P menu items.

iii.Fractions.

iv.Functions entered after the argument, such as x2 and angle unit modifiers.

v.Exponentiation (^) and roots. Note: While operating in Classic mode, exponentiation is calculate from left to right. The expression 2^3^2 is calculate as (2^3)^2, with a result of 64. While in MathPrint mode, exponentiation is calculate from right to left. The expression 2^3^2 is calculate as 2^(3^2), with a result of 512.

vi.Negation.

vii.Permutations (nPr) and combinations (nCr).

viii.Multiplication, implied multiplication, division.

ix.Addition and subtraction.

x.Conversions (n/d <>, Un/d, F<>D, >DMS).

xi.Enter will complete all operations and closes all open parentheses.

##### 8.Clearing and correcting

: It deletes characters on the entry line and moves the cursor to the last entry once the display is clear, and backs up one screen in applications.

: Deletes character on the cursor.

<2nd> : After that, Inserts a character at the cursor.

<2nd> : Clears the variables x, y, x, t, a, b and c.

<2nd> 2 or (on) & (clear): Resets the TI-30XS MultiView calculator. This will return the calculator to default settings by clearing the memory variables, all pending operations, all entries in history, and statistical data.
