NETGEAR ORBI RBK853 WiFi 6 SETUP
Setting up the WiFi device is quite simple and it can be done by anyone. A professional is not really required. One has to just follow the instructions on the NETGEAR ORBI RBK853 user manual and you’re good to go. You can download the installation guide and user manual from their website.
Firstly, you will have to download the ORBI app which is available for mobile phones in the play store. Make sure your phone either has Android 10 or iOS11 versions or higher to be able to download the app. After that, you will need to connect the ORBI router to a modem. Using the power adapter plug the router and also plug in the power adapter into the power outlet. After this, attach the Ethernet cable with your Modem. Make sure the LED is lighting up, else check your connections.
If you want to attach the ORBI satellite with your router first you choose a specific location for the satellite. Make sure the satellite is within range of the router to ensure sync and connectivity. Now the satellite needs to be connected to a power source. Once connected and the satellite switches on, the LED on the satellite will blink white rapidly. This means that the satellite is trying to connect to the WiFi router on its own. If the LED on the satellite turns blue, that means that the satellite has successfully connected with the router.
In the case if LED is yellow or amber, it means that the satellite is a bit out of range of the router and needs to be moved closer to it. If the LED turns magenta, you may have to disconnect the satellite and try the same steps again.
Network Connection
Once the router and satellites have synced, it is possible to connect to the ORBI network. You can connect through wired means and even wireless means by WiFi connection. To get the wired network connection on your PC just attach the Ethernet cable with your router port. Before that make sure that the LED has been lit up. Your computer will be prompted that an ethernet cable has been connected.
For a WiFi connection, you will need to go on your mobile device and enable WiFi. Then select the WiFi network. The network name can be find on the router label. For connecting the wifi network you have to need a wifi password and enter this and enjoy the wifi network. You are now connect to the WiFi network.
NETGEAR ORBI App set up and management
With the help of the ORBI app, you can set up and manage networks easily. The app is available in both app stores of iOS and Android. Once you connect your mobile device to the ORBI system, open the app and follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
If you do not want to use the app to manage your network, you can also use a web browser. During initial access to the router, your computer will automatically get checked by the NETGEAR installation assistant. This is to see if your device can connect to the Internet.
To change the settings of the router or satellite, the ORBI RBK835 login is require. Just enter orbilogin.com and enter your router username and password. Once you have successfully log in, the router web interface can be use and changes in settings can be made.
